Bloomfield State Bank's Oaktown Banking Center History

Bloomfield State Bank's Oaktown Banking Center branch was opened May 5, 2003.  On May 1, 2003, there was a special account opening day for the people in the town of Oaktown and surrounding communities.  The people of the community were very excited to have a bank back in town after Old National closed in the recent year.  The first two days all the accounts were opened in the town hall due to the branch remodeling still underway. On May 5, 2003, the Oaktown Banking Center was officially opened for business.  On May 13th, 2003 there was a Grand Opening celebration for the community to take part in, celebrating bringing a new location to a small town.  Collette and Cindy began working at the branch when the doors opened and have been there since.
