    William Mack Haig
    February 11, 1866 to December 4, 1924

William Mack Haig was born in Scotland, Indiana and moved to Bloomfield at a young age with his family. Mr. Haig married Pearl Edwards, a schoolteacher, in the year 1900. During their marriage, they became the parents of two daughters, Helen E. and Mary G.

William Mack Haig began his banking career at a very young age. As a schoolboy in 1876, he ran errands for the Bloomfield Bank. He continued with his banking career throughout his adult life.

In 1907, Bloomfield State Bank was organized and purchased the Bloomfield Bank. Mr. Haig was an officer of the new bank and held the position of Cashier. Because of his high level of personal integrity and efficiency, the bank was fondly referred to as the "Haig Bank". At the time of his death, William Mack Haig held the position as the President of Bloomfield State Bank.
